Be sure to check out the Globe and Mail on Saturday, February 18th as we have partnered with Ontario Power Generation, the Power Workers Union, Smart, Nissan, GM and Mitsubishi to put together a special section about Electric Vehicles. It is a very detailed overview of the industry, providing a snapshot of today and providing highlights of where the industry is going. Among the stories covered are an explanation of different EV technologies, the state of current batteries and an overview of our electricity system in Ontario.

In the coming weeks we will have more information about these stories, so stay tuned!

Plug’nDrive is heading to the Canadian International Autoshow! Be sure to check us out in the Eco-Drive Showcase on the 700 level of the South Convention Centre.

Automakers will showcase their most fuel-efficient offerings, in addition to the vehicle displays brought to you by the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada’s (AJAC) Brighton-to-London Eco-Run taking place in the spring of 2012.

Detroit Autoshow 2012

On January 12th, 2012 we took a trip to the North American International Autoshow on a fact finding mission to see what new and exciting creations were awaiting us in the coming years. It also helped us get ideas in our preparation for the Canadian International Autoshow which is running February 17 -26.

The atmosphere at the show was electric as we discovered some very interesting and never before seen EVs, some concepts but also a lot of cars that are coming into production soon. Please take a look at some of our photos and if you have any questions about the vehicles please don’t hesitate to ask!

Plug’nDrive Ontario is proud to bring a FREE screening of ‘Revenge of the Electric Car‘ to the ByTowne Cinema in Ottawa, ON on Wednesday, November 30th, 2011.
The show starts at 7p but show up early as the FREE tickets are sure to go quickly.
