We are developing this page as a portal for information about EVs, chargers and the electricity system. Stay tuned for updates as we develop the concept and polish our efforts.

  1. ELECTRIC VEHICLES
  2. Whether you are looking for something spacious for the family, small and sporty for the weekend or functional for your fleet: it’s a good time to get plugged into an EV.
With nearly every manufacturer coming out with an EV over the next couple of years it can be overwhelming to stay on top of the latest and greatest. Luckily we have created a portal with a selection of the EVs that are available in Canada or which will soon be released.
Check out the Plug’nDrive Car section for more information!
  3. CHARGING STATIONS
  4. I will need to charge the batteries in my EV, where can I find more information about EV charging stations?
It can be overwhelming at first to think about the selection of EV chargers on the market, especially when you start talking amps and volts. We are working to make the whole process easier to understand and streamlined from home inspection to delivery of your vehicle. Stay tuned for future updates, but in the meantime check our listing of charger manufacturers and a listing of their current products here.
  5. ONTARIO ADVANTAGES
  6. What is Ontario doing to make sure that EVs are successful?
Ontario is ideally positioned to allow for a widespread adoption of EV. Our energy systems is clean and night-time charging allows drivers to take advantage of low time of use prices. The Province is offering a rebate of to $8,500 towards the purchase of a new EV or plug-in hybrids. These cars are also eligible for a ‘Green Vehicle’ license plate that comes with added benefits such as use of the HOV lanes even with only one person in the car. More information on the program can be found here.
  7. WHERE CAN I FIND A CHARGING STATION IN ONTARIO?

Courtesy of Plugshare - Plug’nDrive is not responsible for the accuracy of these charging stations – they may or may not be available for public use. We are developing a more complete map of the public charging network in Ontario.
